100 days until Christmas!
The title kind of gives the article away right from the start: from today to Christmas day, it's exactly 100 days! Yay!
So before you start panicking (and above all else before you start telling me it was just summer!), let me assure you that 100 days is plenty of time. To do what you need done, that is - not just Christmas preparations like buying gifts and designing a menu and making jam and baking and decorating and card making and present wrapping and everything, although I reckon those need to get done as well - I mean also those other tasks that you have to get over with before you can relax and enjoy the last days of the year without hassle.
Meaning everything you want to finish before the year ends. Because for most people, the ending of the calendar year and the start of a new one mean that projects must come to an end for new ones to start.
So worry not, for 100 days is plenty of time to get everything, from all things Christmas to all other tasks, work and personal development projects, done. Or at least to a whole new level. You only have to do one thing.
You have to give everything you got, 100 % of your maximum effort, sweat, and blood, into finishing them.
So no laying mindlessly on the couch in the evening drinkin beer and watching that soap. No surfing the web idly reading blogs and looking for recipes you won't need (unless it's for Christmas). No movie nights. No late mornings. The only free time you're allowed is a stroll outside in the evening to get some fresh air and to clear your head from the events of the day.
All other time is hustling time. Get the stuff done. Work 12+ hour days, 7 days a week. Use 4 hour time blocks to do your one thing. Sleep a little less. Make lists and execute them. Use commuting time to run the small errands. Meal prep.
Do whatever it takes to finish everything you need to finish before Christmas. Finish, finish, finish. And come December 25th, you'll feel better about yourself and your earned days of utter relaxation than ever before.
Because remember: relaxation only looks good on those to whom it is not a natural state.
