All I eat nowadays, it seems

I've noticed several times in the past that if you only eat a handful of foods, you'll grow accustomed to them so that they're all you crave. (You'll also eat less and less of them, because it's so boring to eat the same meals all the time. And then food will turn into ash in your mouth. But that's for November.)

I quit sugar for the fall months, as always, and now it seems that all I eat, regardless of the day, is

  • scrambled eggs,
  • bacon,
  • potatoes, and
  • homemade ice cream.

Now, don't get me wrong. All of the above are delicious. But they're also boring. And I think I'm losing weight.

Wasn't it just a week ago when I listed my current favorite staple meals? Or less than a week? Where did the avocado and ground beef go? And the beef-egg thingy? And panna cotta? And fudge?

I suppose I have no taste buds left.
