Autumn flavored coffee pods make a return
Remember when, last year, toffee nut coffee pods made a daring escape? Well, when I cleared the office, I found no pod box behind the AC unit. Apparently, they really did find a way out. Perhaps they went to start a career in politics.
This year, I'm enjoying my pod coffee at my partner's office, since I still don't have my own. This means two pieces of exquisite news:
- When I went to the pod store, they had two new seasonal flavors - pumpkin spice cake (same as last year, absolutely delicious), and maple pecan, which I can't wait to taste!
- The AC unit at my partner's office is located on the ceiling, so if the pods want to go there, they'll have to do it without my help, since it's virtually impossible for me to accidentally drop them there.
Also it should be mentioned that I really look forward to the toffee nut flavored pods as well. Christmas flavors, along with autumn ones, are my absolute favorites. (Caramel and hazelnut also also quite good.) Ah, what an excellent idea - coffee pod tier list!
Divine: pumpkin spice cake, toffee nut, coconut.
Delicious: pistachio, vanilla, caramel (the Starbucks one).
Wonderful: hazelnut, volluto, cosi, pike place roast.
Wouldn't drink if you paid me: caramel (the Nespresso one).
Two notes:
- I haven't tried the maple pecan one, so I'll have to update the list after I do.
- The reason I don't like the Nespresso caramel one is simple: it tastes like celery.
Another note in another category:
In the above linked article from last November, I mentioned cinnamon bun flavored ice cream. Well, I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw two Christmas flavors from the same factory that used to make the cinnamon bun flavored: mulled wine and gingerbread. I'm definitely trying those come December.
