December Movie List

It should come as no surprise that I love movies, and while I intend to spend my December holiday watching The Office and Parks and Recreation and Harry Potter themed ASMR videos and cab view train videos, there's also plenty of time to watch movies. As per usual, I have "saved" some awesome movies for December, having refrained from watching them during the year, or at least for a few months. This way I have allowed myself to miss them, and they will feel extra special. I also plan to watch some special films that I've never watched before!

So here's my December movie list:

  1. Tenet. The more time passes, the more I love this film. Time is one of the most fascinating things in the universe, and no one makes time movies like Christopher Nolan.
  2. Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Haven't seen it in a while, and it's such a good movie.
  3. All 8 Harry Potter movies. The third is my favorite, yet the first has the most magical Christmas feeling.
  4. The original Lion King. I've actually never seen this one. It's about time I wrecked my psyche.
  5. Happy Death Day 2U. Jessica Rothe is an incredibly talented actor, and Israel Broussard is pure eye candy.
  6. Moulin Rouge! Haven't seen it in years, and since Luhrmann keeps impressing me year after year with The Great Gatsby, I thought I might rewatch some of his other movies.
  7. The Shawshank Redemption. My all-time favorite movie, so hells yeah.
  8. Minority Report. The best Steven Spielberg movie. And before you shout E.T. or Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones 3, YES, better than any of those.
  9. Disney Renaissance's Tarzan. The best one in the Renaissance set. Although I have to admit I've only seen this and Pocahontas. So therefore...
  10. All the other Disney Renaissance movies, mainly the original Mulan, The Little Mermaid, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Just to add some general knowledge.
  11. Mean Girls. It's funny.
  12. Last Christmas. For the holiday spirit.
  13. Home Alone. For the holiday spirit.
  14. Terminator 1. For Arnold.
  15. Alien 1. For gore.
  16. The original Poltergeist. For giggles.
  17. Either Bridesmaids or The Other Guys. Just to add some seriousness to the mix.
  18. The Bridge on the River Kwai. I've never seen it all the way through. I hear it's great.
  19. Whiplash. For "good job."
  20. The Grand Budapest Hotel. For the visuals.
  21. Fight Club. For the philosophy.
  22. All John Wicks. For Keanu.

Wait... that's 35 movies already. So coffee, chocolates, and movie marathon days to the rescue!

P.S. Considering that I'm spectacularly failing to finish my fall 2021 reading list, it seems likely that some of the items on this list get dropped out as well.
