Friday notes to self
It's Friday, and while I realize that named days are an illusion and that tomorrow is no different from today from the universal perspective, let's not let that stop us from calling this post with that illusioned name.
Friday notes.
To self.
That's me, RK.
- Why am I not in Paris right now, getting ready to witness Speed Chess Championship 2024? It would be so cool to watch live speed chess. I have to do it someday.
- What would it mean if someone had an active force and a negative will? Being Jack Sparrow?
- My body is finally adapting to this new exercise regime; I'm not nearly as tired afterwards as before! (Upping my protein intake may have done the trick.)
- In her book, You Are a Badass at Making Money, Jen Sincero tells us about an interior designer friend who would, at the beginning of each year, decide how much money she wants to make that year, what she would use the money for, and then drive around checking out the countless houses that could buy her services and thus help her realize that money. I have to try this strategy next New Year's.
- It's 110 days until Christmas.
- You might believe that if you don't live, you won't die... but that's a gamble that might backfire tragically at your deathbed.
- Editing the new Weekly Wyat episodes is massive fun, although I wish I didn't feel as frozen recording them.
- Chanterelle flavored potato chips are back - finally - I wonder how many bags I can have before feeling sick.
- My favorite Ben&Jerry's flavor, Baked Alaska, has disappeared from the stores near me. Which is fine, because I make my own ice cream nowadays. It still breaks my heart, though.
- I just got the best service at a beauty store!
All in all, this Friday is looking alright.
RK out.
