How to release hate

My mind has been bubbling with hate ever since that relative incident I've talked about in the past couple of posts. So not very long, I admit, but I strongly dislike it when my mind becomes so preoccupied with something so negative and unconstructive. I decided to do something about it right away.

For future reference, here are my tips:

  1. Ask help from God. This works for me at least. I explain the problem to him, and he either resolves it during my monologue, or offers tools for me to resolve it, or resolves it later.
  2. Use Joe Dispenza's meditation technique, the one where you surrender the thing that no longer serves you for the universe to resolve into a greater sense of wisdom. There's a door and everything, and you can hear a deep voice say "change!" if you start slipping back into the hate.
  3. Visualize the object of your unwanted emotion as a rat that lives in the sewer. This helps you remember that it has no power over you. You also have no motive to be mean to it - it's just a helpless animal with no power to change its circumstances.

Those three alone should release at least 99% of the negative feeling.
