Last few hours left, and how to slow down time
It's here! November 30th! The last day of fall! My Christmas holiday starts at midnight!
All the work of the year is done, everything is good and taken care of, and now, I can focus on enjoying the last few hours of waiting by shopping for delicious food for tonight, checking where I can watch Knives Out, watching F1, and maybe do some cleaning. And watch dachshund videos.
It's been a long wait. At the same time, it feels like time has flown by so fast. So much has happened this year. I hope December doesn't flash by in the blink of an eye.
Well, if time flies by when there's a lot happening, then time must slow down when nothing happens. So I should just vegetate on the couch all month. But what about gift shopping and going to church and going to a cafe to order every single thing on the menu?
Luckily, I know another way to slow down time: making life hard. Don't fill your days with enjoyment, fill them with difficult tasks, like going for a 5-mile run twice a day and then throwing a gym session on top of that for good measure.
But obviously I'm not going to do that on my holiday. I'm going to enjoy myself. And figure out the time passage-warping-tenet-thing later.
Merry Christmas in advance!
RK out for the rest of the year.
