My favorite chicken wings recipe

About 10 days ago, there was an article here on WIP about the carnivore diet that not only includes only meat but also has its pros and cons. (Let's appreciate how weirdly I managed to form the sentence.) The "fad" diet was explained and analyzed in the article and it was also mentioned that yours truly has tried this infamous lifestyle. Perhaps tried is the wrong word. Here's what I've been eating lately:

Breakfast: ground beef with chicken bacon.
Lunch: usually not hungry, sometimes snack with tahini fudge or coconut fudge.
Dinner: Chicken and salmon.

So it's safe to say that I've literally cut all vegetables from my diet, and while I'm not completely carnivore (tahini is made of sesame seeds = not meat, same with coconut flakes), my current diet is definitely meat-based. I eat all meats from chicken to beef to fish. I even tried partridge last week for the first time but it smelled weird and there was a small shot in there and I only noticed it after I'd placed the piece in my mouth. So yeah, chicken and beef and fish.

To be honest, I like and look forward to every single meal of the day. In the morning, I feel like eating beef, and in the evening, I feel like chicken. But what kind of chicken is the best? Wings, no doubt! Without further ado, here's the recipe for my favourite chicken wings that are absolutely delicious. Also imagine the picture above somehow represents this juicy and decadent dish.

The Official Worth in Progress Carnivore Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • chicken wings
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • cumin
  • chilli flakes

Method:

Place the wings in an plastic bag or a bowl or a dish. Splash some olive oil over the wings and sprinkle the seasoning, adjusting the amounts to your liking - I'd say 1 teaspoon of each spice for about 7 wings. Use a spoon to roll the wings over to evenly distribute the spices on each wing. If using a plastic bag, close the bag airtightly and shake it. Place the wings on a baking tray and bake at the top level of the oven in 200 C / 390 F for 30 minutes. If any olive oil / spice mixture remains the dish in which you seasoned the wings, you can spoon it on top of the wings before baking. After 30 minutes, check with a knife on one wing that the meat is cooked all the way through. Let cool slightly and enjoy!
