Problems with plants

I've mentioned that I've ventured from the ketogenic diet into the carnivore diet and had great results. Then I went to Switzerland and had to settle with what the country had to offer - the best brie I'd ever tasted, local wines, fish with sweet potato pyree, even edamame beans - and the carnivorism kind of faded into the background. Then I came back home and happened to do some research about potassium and realized I'm getting NONE of it (since there really isn't much of it in meat), and decided to start packing up with potassium-rich yet low-carb vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, and asparagus.

Then, somehow, and don't ask me how it happened because I don't know - this week by diet has gradually swifted from low-carb veggies and meat into lentils, sweet potato, the vegetables mentioned above, and finally, no fat at all. This was the close to the diet that I followed back in 2014: tuna (only protein), egg whites (only protein), oven roasted vegetables (only carbs), and chicken breast (only protein). I thought this would work - it had worked before - and the amount of protein and carbs was fine as long as I didn't have fat.

Well, guess what. The food was awesome, yes, but I noticed I felt a little blue, a bit more every day as I gradually cut out the fat. Yesterday, I left out all fat except for olives. Then, all this morning, I cried my eyes out. The world had no hope. I would never make a living out of writing. I would never get rid of my double chin. My house would always be messy and dirty. My life would be a failure in its entirety.

Somehow my body was intelligent to tell me immediately that it was due to the diet change, so I cooked myself a hearty breakfast of a salmon filet and a boiled egg.

A couple of hours later, I was fine. I was eager to produce content. I was looking forward to immersing myself on a new and important project as planned. My double chin was both barely noticeable and completely dealable. My house cleaned itself up.

There's no way what I ate had nothing to do with all this. The correlation is so obvious I'm willing to draw straight causation. That said, I'm going back to the carnivore diet immediately.

There's no need to suffer if it can be avoided. I'll deal with potassium later.
