Rainy day plans revolve around coffee

In our series of RK sits in a cafe on a rainy day, here we are, sitting in a cafe on a rainy day.

I mean! Come on! It's so autumnal already and my heart, it bursts, it bursts!

(How do you know that I don't generate these posts with the help of an AI? An AI would be able to carry a common thread.)

So anyway, I'm in a cafe, enjoying an americano, and writing this post. I'm having a personal day (as opposed to personnel day, although I'd probably need one of those as well), with intentions of working and reading some exquisite literature I've brought with me:

Faust, The Age of Reason, and Moby-Dick.

And when I say "brought with me", I mean I have physical copies. Because! Physical copies for the win! (Says a woman whose publishing company focuses almost exclusively on short e-books.)

Here's the plan:

  1. Have an americano while composing a WIP post, writing some emails, and reading 8 pages of Moby-Dick.
  2. Go to lunch and have something nourishing without dairy or sugar while working and reading Faust.
  3. Have a glass of champagne while reading The Age of Reason. If it rains, choose a bar where you can sit by a window and thus have a live-action ASMR.
  4. Find new jeans, fingers crossed, while having a coffee to go.
  5. Cure a not-able-to-find-new-jeans induced nervous breakdown with more champagne and coffee.
  6. Give up and go home to finish watching The Judge (2014).

Rain, coffee, books, and a nervous breakdown. The ingredients of a perfect day, am I right?
