So I went to a nightclub
You know the old Chinese "We'll see" proverb? Well, apparently losing a game of snooker one Saturday evening in October can have wonderful effects.
To soothe my damaged ego* we went to a nightclub. Yes, you read that right. RK went to a nightclub. I got myself and the guy who won two frames over me some drinks. The drinks were terrible.
But the DJ? He was playing songs from early 2010's. And man, do I love that time in music. Such a great time. So many great songs.
I should premise this by saying that last summer, I tried to get another DJ in another nightclub (yes, still RK here) to play some songs, but for whatever reason, he couldn't do it. I've been yearning to dance to E-Type in a nightclub for quite a while now.
And while E-Type is not exactly 2010's, after a few of those terrible drinks, I decided to try and get the DJ to play E-Type. I typed the name of the artist and the song into my Jurassic phone and waltzed over to his booth.
He looked at my phone and nodded. To convey my thanks over the loud music, I gave him a thumbs-up.
A while later, I recognized the first chords of Life beating against my eardrums.
And I went completely crazy for the next three minutes. (I hope no one recorded my dancing.)
Sometime later, I felt confident enough to ask for another song (Stereo Love by Edward Maya), and he played it right away. Another three minutes of crazy ensued.
We stayed at the club until 3 am, enjoying the 2010's music and having drinks and beer and observing the local scene. I also vaguely remember tipping the DJ 20 bucks as we left.
I was still drunk when I woke up the next morning.
Needless to say that it was a freaking great night.

*sarcasm; I'm actually a great loser (unlike the guy who beat me).
