The White Lotus broke me again

Presently, an adequate time has passed since I saw (or rather, tried to watch) The White Lotus season 1 for me to have forgotten how much anxiety the show caused in my psyche. Thus, having learned that season 2 would feature my favorite actor, Tom Hollander, I decided to give it a go.

I have now watched almost two episodes, Hollander is still MIA, and the show is bringing the anxiety back in such intensities that I'm starting to doubt if even Hollander, who apparently will be there from episode 3 onward, will be worth the mental cost.

Before you get me wrong and think that I think the show is bad, let me set the record straight: the show is brilliant. The screenplay and casting, pure perfection. Jennifer Coolidge is ridiculously talented.

No bad show would ever cause such a visceral reaction in the viewer.

Indeed, the show is so good that I doubt my ability to watch it.

(Luckily there's always Pride and Prejudice and Pirates of the Caribbean, among others, to enjoy Hollander's work.)
