What makes a good day?

Yesterday, I had such a good day. I was in a good mood. My overall mentality was off the charts. I got stuff done, sure, but not that much more than usually, so that's not it. What happened? What did I do right?

Here's a rundown of my activities yesterday:

  1. I sat at a coffee shop in the morning, working and revising my math skills, having a pumpkin latte (with a little less syrup). It was a rest day, so I didn't go to the gym.
  2. Afterwards, I went grocery shopping.
  3. Back at the office, I read the Koran, The Sleeper Awakes, A Pattern Language, You Are the Placebo, Faust Part 2, The Phantom of the Opera, and Why Vegan? (this shorter version of the Peter Singer book).
  4. During the day, at regular intervals, I ate boiled eggs and protein puddings. For dinner, I made these beef burgers with onions and jalapenos and bacon (but without the cheese); they were was delicious.
  5. Every few hours, I walked the dog and enjoyed the weather and the burst of autumnal color now suddenly everywhere.

Is this the recipe for a perfect day? Or did the pumpkin latte that I had in the morning have some magical properties? Was it the abundance of boiled eggs? Studying math?

It must be some sort of combination of the lot.

Which is why I'm now drinking a pumpkin latte at a coffee shop, writing this post, ready to revise some math and eat some boiled eggs and puddings and read books and walk the dog in this glorious fall weather/scenery combo.

RK out.

P.S. The Singer book doesn't impress me much; I'm mainly reading it to get to know the vegan state of mind.
