My home is a mess.
I'm in the process of decluttering and cleaning the place for Christmas, and for once, the decision was made to not try to get everything done on one day. Instead, we agreed that a little bit every day for five or six days would be a better idea. So now, there are trash bags and old cardboard boxes everywhere.
Not to mention the list of cleaning tasks that never seems to end.
Vacuuming? Well, that's probably the last thing that needs to be done. And I mean that literally - that everything else comes before it. There's no point dusting after vacuuming, because all the dust would just fall on the newly cleaned floor.
Washing the windows? I could do that right away, but darn do I hate washing the windows.
Cleaning the fridge? Same. Hate it. So much.
Scrubbing the bathroom? Are you kidding me? I'd rather wash the windows and clean the fridge.
I also need to repair the upholstery on the divan, which would be an easy fix, if the broken patch didn't happen to be just where the arm rest is, which means that I need to unscrew the arm rest first. Then repair the upholstery. Then screw the arm back on.
What I'm trying to say is that at 7 am, perhaps the best thing I can do to advance the cleaning process is to stop worrying about it and take a nap.
RK out to nap.
