For a few mornings in a row now, there has been a thick mist in the valley below the hill where I live. And now that we live in the Penthouse, the view over said valley and thus over said mist is incredible. Furthermore, since I wake up around 6 am these days, I get to see the mist in its prime: it's light enough to see it, but not too warm yet for it to have vaporized.
This fills my heart with such happiness! Because! It means that autumn is coming! Soon enough, there'll be the foliage and the rains and dark evenings and pumpkin spice coffee and everything!
What's more, I get to spend the upcoming season working, reading excellent literature, preparing for Christmas, and decorating the Penthouse.
Speaking of excellent literature, I'm almost finished with The Age of Reason.
And speaking of decorating the Penthouse, I checked and the electric saw works, and I might try to use it, but I also have a manual hand saw ready to go. (Having spent two hours today painting the walls of my office back to white, I now have unrealistic faith in my upper body strength.) I would also like to state that the more I think about the project that requires the saw (hiding the TV in the bookcase), the simpler it seems. I'm confident that I can do it.
After that, all that will be left is making custom nightstands from scratch. And attaching a bookcase to the wall. And getting rid of the divan. And building a custom integration for the wine cooler...
