Buying canine raincoats can be amusing: a storytime

. 1 min read

Since September is finally here, and it's starting to get rainy, I decided it was finally time to buy our dog a raincoat. I think I mentioned in this post that I was looking forward to walking him in the park in matching raincoats. So, naturally, I visited the same store where I got my own raincoat.

The funny thing is that as I was approaching the store, I realized that I was a walking advertisement for the particular brand of raincoats, because not only was I wearing the raincoat itself at the moment, but I was also wearing a knit of the same brand underneath, even though the day was a little bit too warm to wear both.

I decided to ignore all this; after all, they're just clothes. But arriving at the store, I found the owner helping a customer who was just at that very moment trying on the very same raincoat I was wearing.

The situation was a tad hilarious - the owner pointed to me and told the customer that I was also wearing that coat and I just had to smile and nod to the customer and acknowledge the situation.

Then I proceeded to go through the selection of dog raincoats the store had - from the same brand which I and the customer were wearing.

The other customer left the store with the raincoat; I left with one for our dog; and later that night, when I put it on him, he looked like a tiny KGB spy or Sherlock Holmes.

(Regardless of the attire, he still didn't agree to do his business in the rain, though.)

RK out.
