Christmas activities 2023

. 1 min read

Welcome back to RK's holiday special, The Best Christmas of All Time! We've already covered a movie list and planned a festive menu. Now, all there's left to do is to explore all the wonderful holiday activities that you can enjoy in the magical month... that starts tomorrow.

  1. Create an ambiance with decorations, scented candles, and some sort of background noise, be it an ambiance video or music.
  2. Take a stroll outside. Fresh air is a good idea any time of the year.
  3. Make Christmas cards. I personally can't wait to get to do this! I have a great eye for design and I'm quite good at crafts anyway.
  4. Procure gifts while having an extravagant Christmassy beverage. I have already gotten the majority of gifts, but I'm definitely going to enjoy a casual shopping spree sometime in December - with a gingerbread latte to go!
  5. Wrap gifts. Another one of my favorite Christmas chores, for the same reasons as the cards.
  6. Listen to carols. There are amazing compilations on YouTube, but if you want to curate your own playlist, go for it.
  7. Watch the movies and TV shows you enjoy the most. (Have I ever mentioned that I love The Office?)
  8. Bake, cook, and eat. (Or learn to bake or cook something to eat. Or if you really are hopeless, I'm sure there's a store or a bakery that sells delicious things to eat.)
  9. Read a book. I have chosen A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote for this holiday season.
  10. Decorate a Christmas tree (or several). Enough said.
  11. Listen to the silence. Nothing brings out the magic of Christmas like silence.
  12. Drive around to see how people have decorated their yards for Christmas.
  13. Go to church. (Atheists may be excused from this assignment.)
  14. Go to a Christmas market.
  15. (Play with Legos. This might more of a RK thing, though, but I highly recommend it.)

Do all of those, and you can't help but get into the Christmas spirit!

P.S. Tomorrow, we have something special lined up for you guys here on WIP... stay tuned!
