Definition of heaven and hell

. 1 min read

Listening to a program about who gets to heaven and who doesn't on Christian radio yesterday, my significant other (who, and I cannot stress this enough, is the smartest person I've ever met) pointed out that both heaven and hell exist in this world, but it's up to the fundamental nature of each individual whether they're in one or the other. Meaning:

If you're a happy-go-lucky holy fool who does what he wants without questioning his decisions and morals all the time, you ARE in heaven already,

and

If you're a neurotic person who constantly analyzes if this or that behavior allows them to go to heaven later, you ARE in hell already.

There is no heaven or hell after death, or if there is, we all died and got there already.

I think this is a genius way to conceptualize life.
