A definition of hell

. 1 min read

After having a horror movie-like dream last night, I now have a new definition for hell.

It fits nicely together with this article I wrote almost exactly a year ago about how to get to heaven: you can't know in advance what you must do to ensure your spot in the rapture. It seems you have to guess what the right way to live is. Only those who guessed right will get eternal life, but there's no way to know if you guessed right until it's too late to change.

Similarly, in my dream, it was impossible to know if using the safety measures the institute gave the visitors would really save you, of if using them would be considered an act of treachery and thus make you a prisoner.

So here's hell:

A situation where you're not able to deduct the best way to act.

Perhaps Lost was right and life is, indeed, purgatory?
