An extravagant coffee drink recipe!
Ingredients:
- ground coffee with infused spices (or add cinnamon and cardamom into the filter with the coffee grounds)
- heavy whipping cream
- a gingerbread cookie
- a solid chocolate truffle of desired darkness
Instructions:
- Make the coffee in a coffee maker or press.
- Whip the cream until firm but not split.
- Pour the coffee on the bottom a large mug* (preferably a Christmas-themed one) and spoon the whipped cream on top.**
- Garnish with crushed gingerbread cookie and grated chocolate.
- Enjoy!
*If you wish to take this beverage to go, use a cardboard cup that's suitable for hot drinks.
**The coffee-to-cream ratio can be adjusted according to preference. 1:1 is a good starting point, but as the cream tends to melt into the hot coffee near the interface, you may want to experiment with ratios such as 1:3, or even 1:4.
