A book recommendation!
As much as I'm an egotistical prick and would just looove to recommend one of my own books, I shan't! Instead, I'm going to recommend a book that's actually good:
The Call of Cthulhu by H. P. Lovecraft.
Now, I know it's not exactly Christmas reading. But I don't read many Christmas stories (shocking I know), so I wouldn't know to recommend one. Instead, I chose this because I read it just this fall and it's quite short (technically it's a short story) so you can read it in one sitting - without having to terrorize your Christmas spirit all throughout the holidays.
I understand if you want to postpone reading Cthulhu until Halloween 2024. The story is, after all, notoriously terrifying.
But I loved it. Lovecraft's writing is unique and absolutely perfect for a story like this.
I promise that tomorrow's door will reveal something... well... more philosophical than terrifying. (Let's hope it's not something terrifyingly philosophical, though.)
