Newsflash: I'm not on social media. Apart from the podcast episodes on my YT channel and this site, I literally have no personal presence online. And I don't think anyone would consider a blog to be a form of social media. After all, I'm not being social with anyone here. I'm just recording my thoughts.
However, I sometimes check out the Ins***** pages of certain people. I do it without having an account to the site - it lets you check out recent posts of public accounts without logging in. I do it t get inspired by people I have deemed inspiring.
Lately, this one girl has been hyping up the autumnal season by posting pictures of frothed coffee, cozy knits, walking in the park, and luxury loungewear. It got me thinking:
Obviously she's showing the highlight reel of her everyday moments, and obviously her life isn't that glamorous all the time, but what if I could get inspired by her mentality anyway and add some glamour into my life as well?
After all, I love autumn as well, and making it special is always a good idea. So here's what she seems to be suggesting:
- Coffee, probably seasonally seasoned, with froth or whipped cream.
- Walks in nature when the leaves are colorful and falling down on you.
- Cozy yet elegant knits in autumnal colors.
- Hyggeing (a Danish word for being cozy at home) in comfortable luxury loungewear.
How would I implement these in my own life, making it more glamorous?
- I already have seasonal coffee pods, but perhaps I could make them into lattes or add whipped cream and cinnamon on top!
- I could walk outside more. Actually, having an adventure in the nearby forest with the dog actually sounds like a fun idea.
- I definitely
don'tneed more knits. I only have one brown knit, and literally zero burgundy ones. (Also one gray, two blue, and two black, but who's counting.) - I would love snuggle up in comfy pajamas and bake something. Or make pasta - I never make pasta! Or pick up my habit from last fall of making panna cotta every day.
- Finishing the Penthouse would also add to the glamour. (I've completely forgotten to think about the integration of the wine cooler.)
- I would also like to finally throw away all the old stuff I've kept "just in case" and move on to the next chapter of my life - the chapter where I only have things I love, regardless of the financial or emotional investment.
If I manage to do all this, I think I'll be off to a pretty good start!
