After talking about it for two months, I finally waxed my Barbour. It had been looking a little light (as in color, with the original wax worn off) since the summer, and I did buy a can of wax in August already, but somehow hadn't found the time to do it until the day before yesterday.
I watched a video tutorial and read the instructions and got to work. It wasn't nearly as effortful or time consuming as I had thought. The wax was easy to work with. And once the jacket dries, you will see if you missed any spots and can add wax as needed.
Although my jacket is still drying. I suppose I used a little too much wax. But nothing that a cloth and a hairdryer won't fix!
In other news, after having a website open in a tab for several days, I finally ordered a cocktail dress from Ted Baker. I had tried the very same dress at the department store earlier, only in the wrong size, so I knew the color would be perfect. And since I already own a size 0 dress from Ted Baker, I ordered a size 0. (Hopefully their sizing is consistent.)
What's more, while the dress at the store was full price, I got mine online at a significant discount - less than half the price, including shipping!
I can't wait to have it, try it on, and wear it at an event I have coming up.
Great things! Luckily I didn't procrastinate about either of these things any longer!
