Here's the thing: I find it difficult to watch cringe videos. Or videos where people do or say stupid things. Or where they fall or hurt themselves. Or where they eat food sloppily on purpose. (You get the drift.)
Seeing clips like these, I can't help but think that if a human being could do that, then any human being could do that, including me. I'm afraid that if I watch these videos, the mentality of those people might infiltrate my subconscious and take control of it, and I could lose conscious control and start acting like those people without noticing it myself.
This kind of lack of self-awareness seriously disturbs me, even frightens me.
So what do I do? I keep my distance. I take care of psychological hygiene by not watching those videos.
Apparently, I trust my own subconscious so little that I can't take any risks.
This sounds a tad neurotic.
