I've been in a weird place lately with autumn projects. Usually, around this time of the year (mid-October), I'm crystal clear on what needs to get done before December, be it publishing a certain number of e-books or finishing some manuscripts. This year, I haven't had a clear plan - unless you count this list here which, for some reason, I don't. Perhaps because it seems so vague compared to my projects in the previous years.
But yesterday, I did something that set my psyche on the right path: I started formatting some unpublished manuscripts that I have left from 2023.
And boy, is formatting something I love to do, yet haven't done in ages!
So now I'm here, sitting in a cafe and working (story of my life), listing projects for the rest of the season, and getting my taking-the-ring-to-mordor groove back.
How to take the ring to Mordor, 2024 edition:
- Format and publish leftover manuscript 1 from 2023.
- Format and publish leftover manuscript 2 from 2023.
- Finish and publish the new non-fic I've been working on.
- Record and ship the rest of the Weekly Wyat season 2.
- Create a website for the domain I registered already last winter.
- Read all the physics books I bought.
- Read all the math books I borrowed from the library.
- Finish reading the Koran.
- No sugar or artificial sweeteners until December 1st (goodbye pudding); bland and monotonic meals (think eggs and beef and butter and nothing else) for the last 10 days of November.
That looks good, but knowing me, I'll run out of work mid-November the latest and will start worrying about not getting the euphoria I aim for.
Perhaps I can fatten the list if I need to.
Inspired and groovy RK out!
