Jacqueline Kennedy / fight attendant / boarding school student / pocket master

So the story begins with me having a me day, which I had planned to include shopping yet absolutely did not expect to find anything because I rarely do, I just walk around boutiques and try on stuff that ends up looking horrible in the fitting room lighting.

Except yesterday, when I was browsing in a store and found some items that did not exactly fit into my Kibbe type - a mini skirt and a cropped light jacket with half sleeves - yet decided to try them on anyway.

Lo and behold, I looked freaking cool. I thought I was giving Jackie Kennedy, even though it was a mini skirt. Maybe it was the navy blue color or the smart casual essence of the jacket.

What's more, I was kinda excited - I hadn't worn a mini skirt in years. Maybe even tens of years. I seriously can't recall the last time. Maybe in my childhood. Maybe in kindergarten.

Obviously I bought the set.

My partner asked me to wear the set today, and I did, pairing it with a white sleeveless top. He told me I was giving flight attendant vibes. Which is probably a good thing.

I also think that if I had a white blouse (with collars) underneath the jacket, I'd look like I was attending a British boarding school.

Then, later today, I was still wearing the skirt as I took the dog out for his toilet business, and the pockets that this thing has are so handy! Wearing this eliminates the problem of figuring out where to put a poop bag, my keys, and treats for the little devil.

Also now, sitting on the floor, wearing the skirt, writing this, sipping champagne...

...life goal vibes.
