Level up!
It wasn't that long ago when I thought that my years of excited personal development were over. Just earlier this summer I talked about how I didn't get the same rush out of making myself better than I used to earlier in my twenties. Then I realized that I can trigger the mentality by listening to some particular voices.
Now I've also realized that there are so many ways you can level up, and the biggest and most important one is one that you can continue to level up with until the day you die: your mindset.
To be honest, I should have seen this coming. I've thought a lot about the importance of mindset in the past. I know how important your mindset is to everything in your life. Yet I still managed to discover it, yet again, on a new level.
You see, I used to think that developing your mindset was all about changing your views on abundance and scarcity. But it's so much more. It's not just about not scraping the very last bits of pudding from the bottom of the cup, or worrying if a piece of lettuce is going bad in your fridge. It's also not just about reading a yachting magazine or window shopping mansions.
You might do all those things - and still believe that you won't get there; that to get there, you should do things differently; and you "can't" do things differently, that there's no way you could level up in your life into such an extent that you could get the yacht and the mansion.
WRONG!
I'm seriously considering hiring an assistant - something I literally just said I couldn't do yet.
Thinking you can't afford an assistant? Limiting belief.
Thinking you can't grow your business into an international conglomerate and run it? Limiting belief.
Thinking you can't fix your chronic health problems? Limiting belief.
However, limiting beliefs are just the tip of the iceberg. What lies underneath are all the things you've never even considered.
I used to think that in order to make it, I need to write good novels and get someone to publish them. Then I realized that all I need is my own publishing house. And now I know that I can lift the whole thing to the next level and publish the works of other authors, too.
Therefore, while I've come a long way, I know that there is still so much more unexplored iceberg under the surface. Finding out what it looks like will be my life's mission.
And I said my days of excited personal development were over - but what could be more exciting than that?
Level up - and find out all the ways of leveling up that you've never even thought of!
