In a dramatic and unexpected turn of events, it has been revealed that RK is, in fact, a woman. Gosh. Who would have guessed.
And, being a woman, she has "now" decided that she should become more feminine. This means both physically and mentally. The mental part she has tackled quite well over the past few years, but the physical side, while in decent shape, could always use some fine-tuning.
Ergo, this post: RK's - my (let's drop the third person) - new beauty routine.
I recently got inspired by some stuff that I won't go into detail here to vamp up my aesthetics. This means:
- More feminine clothes. No more leggings and oversized men's knits for the cold season! I need sleeveless tops and skirts under my boxy winter coats. Or if I'm hanging out at home, pilates style workout clothing looks great and shows off the figure nicely.
- Body and lip scrubs, to keep my skin soft and renewed.
- Dry brushing and body moisturizing after showering. This helps activate my lymphatic system and keep the skin hydrated.
- Rosemary oil for the scalp, to support hair growth.
- Ice therapy and face sheet masks every morning. I seem to wake up looking puffy and tired, no matter how well I slept, but cold exposure and sheet masks always help.
- Doing my hair every day. I wash my hair about every two days, airwrapping it afterwards, and on that day, the hair looks great down. On the non-wash day, it looks greasier, so I go for an elegant, low bun.
- Makeup every day, even if it's just evening out the red parts around my nose with a little concealer. And a little mascara never killed nobody.
- Tinting the brows. I just look more like myself with darker brows, and it's nice not to have to paint them on every day.
- A clean diet. I think I'm cutting out cream for now and eat mainly eggs, meat, fish, potatoes, and avocado for a while. And taco sauce. Always taco sauce.
- Tea over coffee. I don't know why, but lately I've felt more like having tea than coffee. (So not like me, I know.) Maybe it's because I've had a sore throat for a while. But it's nice! Tea is delicious!
- A workout routine! After my existential crisis at the fitting room, I decided to start working out daily, even if it's just a few squats (busy day) or a full-body workout (excess time). Muscle mass also never hurt nobody.
- Regular meditation. I think daily would be best. It always helps calm the nervous system, which in turn helps with health, both physical and mental.
- Regular spa days. The relaxation effect is insane.
I don't know if the list above is long, or if this is what they would call a "high maintenance to look low maintenance" (or vice versa? whichever it is) thing.
Whatever it is, I'm excited! We'll see if we'll see any physical improvements!
