I mentioned yesterday that I wondered if I could keep up this 5-books-a-week publishing schedule for another week. I mean, it's already November 11th, more than a third of the month is already gone, I need to keep this up, not only to achieve the goal of 13 books, but also to earn my holiday! The feast! The song! Everything!
Therefore, I implemented a new strategy:
Every morning, when I start my workday, I open all the unfinished manuscript files, and write one chapter in each.
This means that after five days, they all have at least five chapters ready. This isn't all the work there is, because each book obviously has more than five chapters, and this doesn't include editing, formatting, cover design, or publishing, but it's the bulk.
And bulk might be the word of the day!
What's more, there's always the weekend, which my spouse and I have decided is work time this month. There's plenty of time to take the weekends off in December.
What's more more, there's no reason I have to stop at one chapter per manuscript per day. I can have one session in the morning, and then another in the afternoon, and ta-da, I'm finishing the bulks in half the time!
Stay tuned for tomorrow's article where we balance today's topic with a more rewarding one.
