SO!
Yesterday, I ranted about the fact that my guy (the asset manager who leased me my office) showed me only poor options at this office building we visited yesterday. Now, to complement my statement yesterday: she also asked if I had been looking at other offices in the area (to which I replied that I had just started and decided to ask her first), and I asked her if she had any other prospective office spaces nearby (to which she replied no).
Well! Did she fail to mention that a competitor of her company was actually leasing out perfectly sized and air conditioned offices with windows that open - and that those offices were only a stone's throw away from my current office?
Yes. Yes she did. And I bet she knew all about those offices. It's her job, after all. She just failed to mention them to get me to sign a lease on one of the three worse ones, instead of going to a competitor.
Now, I'm not saying she did wrong. After all, I didn't ask if she knew about other office spaces, ones that her company was not managing. What I am saying is that it would have been next level customer service, had she thought of my interests first and those of her company second by telling me about those better options.
In other news...
I've been having too much homemade peanut butter fudge. Maybe the whole fudge thing is a crutch - to keep me from indulging in sugar or dairy - but yesterday, I had four. Four pieces of fudge. Four is definitely too much.
But I still have half a jar of peanut butter left. Once it's gone, I'll stop switch to almond butter.
