Sea adventures autumn 2025

. 1 min read

As teased yesterday, I'm enjoying a lovely cruise. The sea air is excellent for the soul. What's more, we made port today for a few hours before heading back home, and so we had a chance to explore a foreign city.

This means a few things:

  1. I've enjoyed a fun day exploring the old town of said city, having a pumpkin spice latte and a scoop of ice cream and spending way too much money in book and candy stores.
  2. There was a ton of walking, which is probably why I'm so hungry right now.
  3. I've gotten little to no work done at all during this trip, because between exploring and eating and sleeping, there hasn't been much time to do so. I'm even behind on reading Stoker.

To which:

1 - spending money is fine, even if it did feel too much - after all, the freaking 9,5-dollar chocolate frog also included a collectible card, so I guess it justifies the price.

2 - eating a bit more now is fine, my appetite will return to normal when my exercise schedule does.

3 - I'll catch up with work, I promise... I think... no, I have to, I can't afford to slack while Angels from the Realms of Glory plays in my head.

That's all.

Back to everyday life.
