I used to be the kind of person who just wants to browse products in the shops without the staff helping me. This is a bad idea, obviously, since the staff probably knows how to find what you're looking for better than you. But now, I've grown as a person (what?!), and I let the staff help me if I need help.
Like today, when I was looking as some makeup and wanted to find out which shade would be the right for me without having to buy both and try them at home and then throw one of them out. I was standing at the shelf, a wonderful saleswoman came and asked me if I needed help, and I told her right away what my issue was. She actually sat me down before a mirror and applied the two shades on my face and recommended one over the other.
I mean, how wonderful! I hate it when I try foundations and concealers on my hand and it's never accurate since the skin on the hand is a totally different thing from the skin on the face! Obviously!
I thanked her and bought the right shade. I also bought a new foundation brush and some brow tint, thanks to her tip on a sale that was going on.
In other words, my mission of upgrading the makeup and tools in my makeup bag is going extremely well! Not to mention that I found some unopened luxury skincare products in my closet, and stumbled upon a new sheet face mask brand that totally changed my sheet mask game!
How great is this?!
(Also, work is going relatively well, as well as the Penthouse project, so I can't really complain about anything except that most of my winter clothes are still oversized knits and there's nothing glamorous about that. On the other hand, I managed to treat my hair into a cooler shade with silver shampoo, and that's such a win in itself that I'm positive the knit issue will sort itself out in no time. Good things are happening almost daily!)
P.S. I also feel like waiting is making a return, which is great.
