For my next trick, I'll make six days disappear

One way to get time to fly while you're waiting for Christmas is by having plans for the weekend, every weekend. Weekends fly by so fast this way. Before you know it, you've had a few of them already in November - which, by definition, means that December is just around the corner.

One way to one-up your fast-passing-weekends game is by adding a few days on top of it, like I'm doing right now.

Friday: a trip to the metropolis nearby to remote work and do some shopping.

Saturday: the weekly Saturday trip to the same metropolis, to read while enjoying a hot beverage in a cafe, and also to do some shopping.

Sunday: the weekly Sunday roadtrip while listening to Christian radio, afterwards a staycation in the metropolis above to celebrate a special occasion.

Monday: wake up in the metropolis, enjoy a hotel breakfast, go to the gym, get something done at the office while feeling weird because this Monday's routine isn't your usual Monday routine (because you woke up in a different place than usual).

Tuesday: you have scheduled an appointment with your hairdresser in - you guessed it - the metropolis, so you go there.

Wednesday: a trip where? To the metropolis, to have dinner with a friend.

Driving to and from that city for six days in a row is bound to make time fly by, and before I can blink, another week (not just a weekend!) has passed and brought me closer to December.

Sometimes you're so busy with work that time flies.

Sometimes waiting is a form of work.

And sometimes, you've packed your calendar with all kinds of random yet important things other than work that you have to be careful not to completely miss the opportunities to get work done before your vacation begins.
