Last day of summer makes plans for autumn

. 1 min read

After yesterday's crazy craziness (update: I found the cocktails and the iced pumpkin spice latte and enjoyed the evening, lost track of time, and returned to the hotel after midnight), it's time to realize that today is the last day of summer and that perhaps I should start making plans for the fall.

I seem to recall talking about this already a few weeks ago. Yet, it's still to be done. The whole shenanigans. Let's see...

Premise 1: the whole point of autumn is to make life harder so that you'll feel like you've earned all the good stuff you save for Christmas.

Premise 2: I want to feel like I've earned all the good stuff I save for Christmas.

Conclusion: make life harder.

And how will I make my life harder? Let's see...

  1. Go to the gym several times a week.
  2. Quit sugar for three months.
  3. Write a post on WIP every day.
  4. Shoot and publish another season of The Weekly Wyat (premiering on Monday!).
  5. Write new non-fiction books, plural.
  6. Plan and execute the re-brand of an existing business.
  7. Follow a daily schedule.
  8. Read books.
  9. A ninth thing, to be determined in October.
  10. A tenth thing, to be determined in November.

If these don't make me feel like I'm taking the ring to Mordor... well, then I'll add something to the list.

After all, one cannot take any chances when it comes to taking the ring to Mordor.

One has to take the ring to Mordor.

RK out.
