My Diagon Alley / Gringotts dilemma

. 1 min read

Now that we're well into November and Christmas is definitely coming, it's time to figure out my Lego project for the holidays.

Last year, it was Home Alone.

The year before, Hogwarts.

But this year? This year I have two options: Diagon Alley and Gringotts. Both are big enough to keep me occupied for four weeks (5544 and 4803 bricks respectively). And both are freaking awesome.

So which to choose?

I mean, I saw Diagon Alley first and it is the older one of the two and more at risk of getting retired, but the Gringotts one is ridiculously cool. It's vertical. It's whimsical. And it has the dragon from the seventh movie!

Gringotts has a tad higher price per brick. But Diagon Alley costs more overall.

Diagon Alley has more characters, like Lucius Malfoy and Gilderoy Lockhart.

Gringotts has a cooler package design, but I've never cared about package designs when it comes to Harry Potter themed Lego sets. (Unlike with other Lego series, where I demand a black box.)

I almost already chose one, but now I'm starting to reconsider again. Darn it!

If I just randomly order one, will cognitive dissonance solve the dilemma afterwards?

Or should I just order them both?!
